Dear parents,
As part of our Geography work this half term, we are looking at the question ‘Should Ripon have a train station?’ To help us with this learning we are going to go into Ripon to carry out a survey, in order to gage public opinions.
The trip will take place on Wednesday 31st January. We will leave school at 9:15am and return before lunch. The children will be transported by Atkinson’s Coaches. We are asking for a contribution of £4.50 per child to cover the cost of the coach and this can be made via ParentPay.
On our journey into Ripon we will drive to where the train station used to be so the children can understand the location in relation to the centre of Ripon. We will then go to the market square to carry out our survey. Should the weather be awful we have contacted Ripon Library and Sainsbury's about using their sites instead.
Children should come in school uniform and dress appropriately for the weather.
