We completed our work on the book 'Tuesday' this week. As we have previously
shared, we have been using this book as a stimulus for our grammar work. The children have investigated using a range of verbs and adverbs, and nouns and adjectives to describe different pages from the picture book. The children enjoyed looking at the detail in the pictures and using their imagination to describe them. 


The children had previously written a recount text of the events in the book. This week they have been using their editing skills to improve their writing. They have applied all they have learnt over the last couple of weeks to make their writing as engaging as possible. Particular focus has been on figurative language, using a range of sentence openers and punctuation use.
