Class 4 – First week back

06 Jan 2023

Welcome back Class 4!

It has been lovely to see you all again and hear what a lovely break you've had.

This week we have started reading our new class book, The Explorer by Katherine Rundell. We are using the book as inspiration for our first piece of writing this term, a newspaper article.

In Maths we have started looking at fractions, starting with equivalent fractions and then moving on to simplifying fractions.

We have also started our new topic work, Geography. This week we considered human and physical geographical features in preparation for the three locations we are going research: the Southern Uplands in Scotland, Oslo in Norway and the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil.

In R.E. we have looked at our enquiry question for this half-term “What does it mean to be a Muslim in Britain today?”. We have started exploring this question by considering the journey of life and what support and guidance we need.

Fantastic work this week Class 4.

See you next week.

Mrs Glover 😊
