Monday 25th January
         Class 4

Happy Monday Class 4! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. smiley

I am going to do a Teams call today for everybody together at 1pm, so I will see you then.
I will start the call at 1pm, so please don't start it yourselves earlier than that otherwise it makes it very confusing for everyone. Thanks. smiley

enlightenedToday looks like...
English - Persuasive writing - lesson 3.
Maths - TT
rockstars & Perimeter on a grid / of a rectangle.
1pm Teams call for everybody - Year 5 & 6. (Please have your maths work nearby.)
Science
- Lesson 2 on Animals including humans - the circulatory system. (Please send this piece of work to me today. You can do this via email at class4@gfschools.co.uk or upload it to Teams in the 'files' section).

Don't forget that you need to do 30 minutes reading today and some physical exercise too. Look at the home learning tab for information about both of these. Remember, you can do these activities at any point during the day.

16 of you completed the Teams quiz on Friday - well done! That was much better than last week; I have given each of you a Dojo. Hopefully, this week there will be even more of you completing it. We still can't get past 20 of you completing your daily TT rockstar sessions though. That's one third of you who are not doing them - please have a go. You get a dojo each time!

Remember to look at the daily Collective Worship. You can find it under the News & Events tab on the website, under School News.

Your lessons for today are...

smileyEnglish

Last week, we started a unit on persuasive writing, and today we are going to continue with that.

Your LI for today's lesson: To generate points to use in our persuasive letter.

Here is the video for you to watch. You can pause it at any point to complete the activities.

Science

This is our second lesson on Animals including humans; it is all about the circulatory system.

I have attached a powerpoint below which as usual takes you through the lesson. Today, it is really important that you watch it as a slide show otherwise you will miss some slides and it won't make sense to you. There are volume icons for you to play to explain what I would like you to do (these will play automatically on slide show).

  -Lesson 2 Animals including humans.pptx-

Here are the activity sheets that you will need for this lesson. I have explained them in the above powerpoint.
