Here is a little video from me...

Don't forget our first team call is today at 1pm. All you need to do it be logged in and on the home screen. I'll ring you all which will come up on your screen and then you just need to press join. Don't worry if it doesn't work brilliantly the first time, we'll get there!

enlightened Each day, I will choose one piece of work that I would like you to send me. The piece of work I'd like to see from today is your RE work from this afternoon. enlightened

Your lessons for today are...

English

We are starting a unit on biographies today which will follow on from the unit on autobiographies we did last term. This will run over 10 lessons and is about inspirational figures.

Your learning intention for this lesson is: To identify features of a biograpy.

To access today's lesson, click on the link below and watch the video. You can pause the video at any time.

Maths

If you remember, before Christmas we were concentrating on fractions in maths. We are continuing on from this today with adding and subtracting fractions.

Watch the below video which will explain what to do. You can pause the video at any time.

Now please complete the activity sheet below.

Year 5, there are two options for you:

This one is slightly easier.
  -Y5-Spring-Block-2-D7-Add-and-subtract-fractions-2019.pdf-

This one is the most difficult of the two.
  -Y5-Spring-Block-2-WO10-Add-fractions-2019.pdf-

Year 6, this is yours.
  -Y6-Autumn-Block-3-D5-Add-and-subtract-fractions-1-2019.pdf-

We will chat about these questions in our teams call this afternoon.

Afternoon

Don't forget that you need to do 30 minutes reading today and some physical exercise too. Look at the home learning tab for information about both of these.

RE

We are going to start our new RE unit this afternoon - Was Jesus the Messiah?

We will complete this unit over a number of afternoons.

I have uploaded a powerpoint below which explains what I would like you to do. There is a volume icon on every slide, so please click on that and you will hear me explaining the slide and what I would like you to do.
