Kwik Cricket Finals

16 Jun 2022

On Wednesday, our superstar cricket team represented the Ripon area at the Kwik Cricket finals at Harrogate Cricket Club.

We had very short notice of the event, but managed to organise it with the help of our children's parents.

We arrived at the impressive venue at lunchtime after travelling by bus; the sun was shining once again! There were five teams in the tournament and so all teams played against each other. All four of our games were in a row and so there was no time for a rest! The children were hot and tired by the end, but they kept focused and continuously tried their best.

One of the most notable things I observed was how much our children had improved at kwik circket since the beginning of the Markington competition, which was impressive considering we only had time for one practice between rounds as they were so close together.

Our team beat both Killinghall and Bishop Monkton, and had losses against Oatlands Juniors and Pannal meaning we came third in the whole competition. What a fantastic achievement! smiley

I was once again incredibly proud of our team's impeccable behaviour, teamwork and respect for all. They really were amazing and did so well to come third in the Harrogate area.

Thank you to all our parents for your support with this event.

Here are our wonderful team...
