Class 4's week

07 Oct 2021

The highlight of our week was definitely the Pupil Voice day on Tuesday. We had so much fun! smiley

Many of our children were given a role on one of the school committees, and are already working hard to make a difference in our school and community. Keep your eyes peeled for their new and exciting initiatives.

A number of our Year 6 children are buddies to our new Reception children. They are doing a great job at looking out for them, and are really enjoying the responsibility of doing so. The shared reading session on Tuesday demonstrated this beautifully.

During the day, the children worked on a project which we will be sharing with you soon. The Year 5 and 6s really took the lead and helped many of the younger children.

This week, we have also started the daily mile. The School Sports Crew measured the perimeter of the grounds and so worked out that you have to run 4.5 laps of the field and playground together to cover a mile. The children have been enjoying challenging themsleves with this so far.

We are also still loving our history topic of the Tudors; this week we were learning about Edward VI and why he didn't want his sister, Mary, to succeed him to the throne. In English, we are learning about biographies, and are looking forward to sharing that work with you soon.
