Class Three- English Writing
We have just finished writing our narratives with a mythical creature in them. We were inspired by the book Malamander, which we have been reading in class. In the build up to writing our own narratives, we looked at writing dialogue. We made sure to use the correct punctuation and ensured there was a purpose to the dialogue. Did it move the story on. We wrote descriptions of the creatures that would feature in our own stories. Then we looked at ways in which we could build t

Class Three- World Religion & Children In Need
This week we looked at our World Religion for 2025-2026, Hinduism. This week's learning included learning where and when the religion started. We then compare this to where Hindus can be found today. Week 6- Trip to Bolton Castle
This morning, we left school slightly earlier and drove to Bolton Castle picking Grewelthorpe up along the way. On arrival it was like we had gone back in time and we were immersed in the Tudor times. During the day we learnt lots of information about the Tudors and were able to demonstrate confidently what we had learnt during our work in school. When we arrived we got dressed in some Tudor style clothing and we gathered outside to learn the drill the soldiers would have don

Week 5- Tudor Monarchs
We are well into our Tudor unit now and have covered so much already. We are really looking forward to our trip to Bolton Castle nest Friday. You should have received a letter reminding you of the arrangements for our trip. This week, we have been learning about the monarchs who ruled after Henry VIII. We realised the Tudors changed monarchs as quickly as Henry changed wives. Chronology is really important to demonstrating a good understanding of history, so we spent time pla
