This week we have started a new unit on writing instructions in English. To begin the unit we decided to follow a set of instructions about how to make an origami koala bear book mark. This was a challenge! We are very lucky to have Poppy in our class, who is an origami expert. She provided advice and supported us all through some of the more tricky parts of the process. This week we have been learning about how the Ancient Greeks governed themselves in Athens. We found out about how they voted and how a Democracy was formed. The children have exercised their own democratic right by voting for the members on the School Council and meeting in their chosen committee to make plans for the school year.
