The children have been focusing on descriptions in English for the last 2 weeks. They wrote a setting description first and then we moved on to look at character descriptions. Our work was based around the video clip https://www.literacyshed.com/ruin.html

I was really impressed by how well lots of the children did. They included exciting adjectives, similes, metaphors, expanded noun phrases and relative clauses in their writing.
