Despite only being in school for 3 days this week, we have covered a lot in our Maths lessons. The children now understand that algebra isn't something to worry about and it is almost just putting letters instead of numbers.

We looked at working out the rule, forming equations and expressions, substitutions and solving equations. The children were very quick at picking up this new knowledge and all approached the topic with a growth mindset!

We have been using lots of pictoral representations to help us with this work and this has reminded some of the children what a useful method drawing a picture can be.

Next week we begin our work on statistics.

Have a great weekend!
