Week 4 in class 1

This week we have been very busy with our RE day focusing on Judaism, learning about Chinese New Year and lots of other brilliant learning!

To learn about Chinese New Year, we read the story of the race. We talked about the different animals and retold the story using a story map. The children learnt about how Chinese New year is celebrated and enjoyed making lanterns and cards.

In PSHE we are looking at the piece Dream and Goals where we are considering the steps needed to meet a goal. To apply this skill, our task was to make a flower. We had to follow the steps to make it: 
1. Draw around you hand using a pencil.
2. Cut your drawn hand out using scissors.
3. Decorate you flower hand. 
4. use a holepunch to make a hole then thread through a pipecleaner to make a flower stem.
