Week 12 - Autumn term

30 Nov 2021

This week in Class 1...

We have travelled under the sea this week and have been listening to some sea creature poems. We listened for the rhyming words. We used different books and underwater videos to see what it would be like under the sea.

We made some of our own sea creatures...

Can you spot the turtle, pufferfish, jellyfish and whale?

We created underwater pictures using sponges to paint the water and collage materials to add seaweed and underwater creatures...

In RE, we have been finding out about how important Jesus is to Christians. We met the people in the Nativity story and listened to the story of the first Christmas. We made some stick puppets and used them to retell the story.

In phonics, we have been using our letter - sound knowledge to blend and read words. We have also been trying to remember the tricky words too by going on a word hunt and unscrambling the letters that have been muddled up.

In maths, we have been looking at more and fewer to compare groups of objects.

Have a lovely weekend!
