We have had a very busy week in class 2!
On Thursday, we spent the day at Leeds City museum as part of our history topic about Ancient Egypt. We spent the morning exploring the exhibits in the museum and particularly enjoyed the animals. We were very impressed by the size of some of these creatures! During our time here, we looked closely to create some observational drawings as well as completing an exhibit hunt.
In the afternoon, we took part in a workshop. We really enjoyed exploring and learning about Ancient Egypt - in particular the mummies!
On Friday, we ventured out of school again to take part in a triathlon. It was run by the Brownlee foundation and was held at the Harrogate Wellness and Leisure centre. The event involved a swim, cycle and run. It was great to be able to take part in an event like this - it was a first for a lot of us! Everyone did really well and rose to the challenge.
Have a restful weekend class 2!
