On Friday 20th, we went on our trip to the Gurdwara, in Leeds. The children behaved brilliantly, and were all very respectful of the Sikh religion.
As part of our visit we were offered Langar, those children who wanted to try some did and they really enjoyed it, some found it a bit spicy!
During the visit we also learnt about how Sikhism began and how followers of the Sikh faith live their lives and follow their religion. We spent some time in the meditation room and also listened to readings from the Guru Granth Sahib. After this, we were offered a sweet treat which everyone enjoyed. The children were able to answer questions from our world faith afternoons and asked some interesting questions to find out more.
It was really interesting to visit a place of worship for a different religion and experience elements of their faith.
