This week in Class 2…

In geography this week we completed our final piece thinking about our big question: What challenges are facing our polar regions?

We created a poster to show some of the challenges facing the polar regions and ideas for what we can do to help these areas and the things that live there.

We began our new unit in Science this week which is focusing on light. We are investigating the question: How does light help us see and change what we see around us? In our first lesson, we found out some interesting facts about light – it only moves in straight lines and it is the fastest moving thing in the universe!

We explored using our sense of touch to try and work out what different objects were if we couldn’t see them in the dark – we were quite good at this.

In music over the last few weeks we have been exploring musical notation and creating a musical sequence using the three rhythms. In the final lesson, we had fun with the instruments playing our sequences and exploring different notes.
