Last week, we began our history unit on Francis Drake and Neil Armstrong. So far, we have loved this unit of learning. We have been particularly fascinated by Neil Armstrong’s journey to the moon, space and space crafts. The children have had lots of questions such as how long did it take him to get to the moon? What did he eat? Can you jump on the moon? We have spent time finding out the answers whilst also beginning to compare this journey to Sir Francis Drake’s circumnavigation of the earth.

In PE, Mr Whitford has been doing athletics lessons with us. We have been practicing races ahead of sports day in a few weeks time. We worked in teams and moved round the activities, with one person keeping score. Then we finished with some races.

In our areas, we have been enjoying making models to support the travel of water. We have also been busy making!
