In English, we have finished a unit that we started before half-term, all about fables. Over several weeks we listened to lots of fables to help us with our writing. We talked about the lesson each one teaches people, the features and much more. This week we planned then wrote our own.

In History, we have began a topic all about Francis Drake and Neil Armstrong. The children have been very excited about explorers! The children started off by thinking about what an explorer is and where they might go. Then we started our learning about Francis Drake. We found out that he was the first British man to circumnavigate the world. He did this over three years!

In Reception, we have also been doing some super writing! They are applying their phonic knowledge to write sentences. They are great!
