In Maths, Year one and two have enjoyed learning about money. We began by spending lots of time exploring coins and notes, comparing them and identifying their value. After that, we looked at counting in pence and pounds.

In History, we have started a topic on the Great Fire of London. So far, we have thought about what London was like in 1666 and compared it to now. The streets were very different as the houses were made of timber and they jetted out. Life was harder as fire was an important part of life so we thought about why fires were common during the time. On Friday, we had a fantastic time using cardboard to create our own London in 1666. Then we used red powder to look at how the fire would spread.

In Reception, we have been talking about what places are special to us. The children enjoyed sharing their ideas, including home, school, their bedrooms and the farm. They drew some pictures to represent them.

In our areas, we have been roleplaying in the garden centre, planting "flowers" and building houses for a wolf to blow down.
