Class one had the most magical day at Thorp Perrow. We started the day with a walk around the grounds where we spotted lots of wildlife and talked about the different plants and trees.
Then we had a snack and walked to see the birds. We found out lots of information about the different types of birds of prey, where they live, what they eat and how they hunt. The children then enjoyed a show of the owls. There were three types of owl: "Titch" a barn owl, "Cathy" and pointy earred owl and "Nigel". We watched the fly around the area, coming very close to us and learnt lots of facts.
After that, it was lunch time. We were very hungry! Next we had a little play and a game of "duck duck goose" before visiting the other animals. The meerkats were very exciting, they were playing and watching us!
Finally, we finished the day in the park which was so much fun! What a brilliant day out.
