Welcome Back!

Class 2 have settled back into school well and have been very busy this week. We have begun a local history unit about Fountains Abbey. The children are very familiar with the Abbey and are excited to learn about what life was like for the monks who lived there. We started thinking about what we already know. The children raised lots of questions about how and why it was built and we will be finding out the answers to the questions over the coming weeks.

We have been finding out about when and why monks first came to Fountains Abbey and we made a timeline to show when the events occurred.
