This week in RE, KS1 looked at some Islam artefacts. We talked about the importance of each object and what they were used for. The children linked this back to their understanding of Islam and their strong belief about being respectful.

Reception have enjoyed planting and watching their runner beans grow and some other plants. We have talked about how to care for their plants and the different stages of growth.

On Friday, we had a special treat! Since Christmas the children have been working hard to fill their star jar and last week, we added the last one for our fantastic effort. We then used democracy to vote on what reward we might like, and a film got the most votes. Miss Thewsey bought us some special snacks and most of us sat quite still to watch it!

I hope you have a well-deserved rest next week and enjoy the sunshine!
