Class Three have worked so hard this week to demonstrate their knowledge and ability across the core subjects. This week we have spent lots of time doing our termly assessments and the Year 6s used this as a practise for their SATs in May. All of the children showed a positive attitude and put lots of effort into the tests. It was nice to end the week with a more relaxed Friday, taking part in Red Nose Day.

Alongside our assessments, we finished our Science unit- Earth and Space. The children explored night and day and why it looks like the sun moves across the sky. The children worked in group to track shadows throughout the day before using these findings to draw their own conclusions.

Next week is a short week, as there is an inset day on Friday. On Tuesday the children who expressed an interest are going to Outwood to take part in a cross country event. A team of children are going to North Stainley after school on Tuesday to take on Grewelthorpe and North Stainley in a dodgeball tournament and then on Thursday we will have our annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Have a lovely weekend.
