We have had a lovely first week of Autumn 2.

In English, the children have been really engaged with their work on biographies. They have researched a famous person of their choosing and on Thursday put their learning and research into practise. We will share these with you next week.

In History, we are learning about the Romans. The children researched what life was like just before the Romans invaded Britain in 43AD. They then discovered why the Romans wanted to invade Britain and that Julius Caesar tried not once but twice and failed. It was Emperor Claudius who was successful.

In Wednesday's lesson the children compared the battle style of the Celts and the Romans. They enjoyed drawing and labelling the two different types of soldiers, before writing about the different tactics the two sides used.

Next week is a busy week.

Monday is normal.

Tuesday morning- Lots of the class are going to Outwood for a football tournament. Please can they come in their PE kits and bring school uniform to change into afterwards.

Wednesday morning- we are going to Crucial Crew. The children should be in school uniform and bring a coat.

Thursday is normal- PE kits needed

Friday is Children in Need- Children can come in their pyjamas for a £1 donation. The Charity Committee will also be running a bake sale so any donations of cakes would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great weekend!
