<p>Our school is supporting the Rotary Club Christmas shoebox appeal and the children in each class are working together to fill two Christmas shoeboxes &#8211; one for a boy and one for girl. <p>This week Class 2 enjoyed a session of math combined with PE which was led by Mr Banks, our Sporting Influence coach. The children really enjoyed using a combination of their PE and math skills to reinforce and consolidate their math understanding of place value. We look forward to two more sessions of PE in [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Congratulations to our children who were awarded PLB wristbands today in our Celebration Collective Worship. These children have really impressed our staff with their positive attitude to learning all term and for being brilliant active participants!</p>

<p>A huge well done goes out to our fantastic Class 2 and Class 3 pupils who played their hearts out against various local primary schools at the Sporting Influence Rugby Festival on Wednesday 19th. We are so proud of you all for your determined and courageous play!</p>

<p>Class 3 have been having lots of fun investigating catapults in science this week.</p>

<p>A huge well done to everyone that took part in this years Summer Reading Challenge.</p>

<p>It was National Poetry Day on Thursday 6th October and Class 2 and Class 3 participated in a national webinar teaching us about poetry using the environment. Inspired by yesterday’s event, we visited the woods near our school today and created wonderful nature poems using the beautiful surroundings we are lucky enough to enjoy.</p>

<p>Congratulations and a huge well done to all of our children for completing our Roecliffe Mini Marathon this week! We were inspired by the London marathon to run (or walk!) a distance of 2.6 miles over the last five days around the village green.</p>
