Week 5

This week, in science we have been learning about plants and trees. We went on a walk of the school grounds and did some rubbings of bark and leaves. The children identified whether the tree was deciduous or evergreen. We also identified different plants. Back in the classroom, we labelled trees and plants with their parts and discussed how they help a plant survive.

Reception have enjoyed doing some lovely writing about sports day last week. They used pictures to help them write about the races.

Next week, we have our visit to Thorp Perrow. The forecast is showing sun with some cloud so please ensure children have sun cream on and a hat. We will take regular shade breaks and lots of the space is shaded by trees.
