This week has been DT week with a focus on levers and sliders. We began the week by thinking about different mechanisms and how they work, looking at books and cards which have them. We decided that our aim by the end of the week was to make an Easter card using either a lever or a slider. On Tuesday, we had a go at making a simple slider and lever using paper, card and split pins. Following that we designed and them made our lovely Easter cards.
On Monday we enjoyed showing off our Easter crowns at the Easter collective worship. The children loved making and wearing these last week. The showed lots of signs of Easter such as eggs, chicks, daffodils and rabbits. Well done, class one!
In our areas, we have been making lots of cards and pictures. We have also spent time making some lovely Easter gardens in groups.
