We have had a super first week back in Class Three! The children have really impressed me with how quickly they have settled back in after 7 weeks off. A few of you will hopefully have already received a positivity postcard, as your child has done really well. I look forward to sending lots more home.

This week we began our first book, The London Eye Mystery. We will be using this book in Guided Reading and English lessons this half term. In Maths we are starting the year with place value and practising our times tables again.

Handwriting is really important and we have already been working hard making sure our letters are correctly joined in our handwriting books, now we need to use this beautiful writing in all our work.

In Geography, our big question is 'How do mountains impact our landscape?' We began this unit looking at where in the world is mountainous and how the UK compares to that. We then focused on the UK, what mountains we have and where they are located.

Year 6 finished the first week back with Bikeability sessions. They were fantastically behaved and really impressed the instructors. Well done Year 6!

As if that wasn't enough for week 1, both year groups had swimming on Friday.

Have a lovely weekend!
