There was great excitement in school on Thursday as the children tracked the progress of Sara Cox as she took on her Great Northern Marathon Challenge. They made banners to welcome her as she ran past the school and enjoyed the ice creams organised by the PTA. Although Sara didn't make it to school before the end of the day it was lovely to see lots of children and families who lined the street in the dark to welcome her as she ran past.
The Charity Committee organised our Children In Need Day on Friday. The children came to school dressed in all sorts of fabulous sporting wear. We had cricketers, rugby players, footballers, boxers, dancers and even a karate kid and a ballerina! The children did the Joe Wicks Activate Challenge and then challenged themselves to run laps around the playground in the pouring rain. The children showed great resilience and spirit and we were so proud of their efforts. Thank you to the Charity Committee and the day and the PTA for arranging the ice cream van.
