<p>Today our Class 3 children visited the residents of Boroughbridge Manor Care home, they have had a fun morning of playing games of dominoes, colouring and completing wordsearches together. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Thank you to family members who joined us at our remembrance service today. Well done to our pupils who reflected and paid their respects to the many people who have given so much to protect our own country during past wars.</p>

<p>Reception and Year 1 children enjoyed a wonderful theatrical experience when they went to see Stick Man at the Theatre Royal, York this week. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Congratulations and a huge well done to the Roecliffe High Five Netball Team for being placed second in this week’s High Five netball tournament against other local primary schools. Roecliffe’s nifty netballers will now be joining other finalists at the regional High Five netball tournament at Ashville College on Tuesday 5th December.</p>

<p>Thank you to P.C Jack and his colleagues from North Yorkshire Police for visiting us today to remind us about staying safe during Halloween, around bonfires and about road safety. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Thank you to all the parents that joined us for our pupil led worship yesterday. Our Faith council introduced the worship, Class 2 acted out the Parable of the Sower and Class 3 acted out the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard.</p>

<p>Class 3 enjoyed learning about making healthy snacks &#8211; yum!</p>

<p>Reception and Year 1 pupils enjoyed learning about very old &#8216;Houses and Homes&#8217; during their trip to Allerton Castle &nbsp;</p>

<p>Well done to our Roecliffe children for taking part so well in our Harvest Thanksgiving service on Thursday. The singing was fantastic and we enjoyed listening to the children’s prayers and poems of thanks. <p>In August this year, Roboodles were thrilled to announce that they had been nominated for and had won a North Yorkshire Partnership Achievement Award! The awards aim to celebrate the achievements of people who have helped improve the health, achievement, or safety of children and young people in the county, or whose work has helped [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Thank you to Imran for teaching us lots about Islam. We really enjoyed a very interesting and fun day learning about life as a Muslim person.</p>

<p>Class 2 learnt about seasonal fruit in DT and made an apple crumble. We learnt the skills of cutting, including a bridge cut and a claw cut, and peeling!</p>

<p>A huge well done to our children at Roecliffe who completed the Summer Reading Challenge this year!</p>

<p>Thank you to Netball 4 All who delivered a netball coaching session for our Class 3 children on Tuesday. We are preparing for our next tournament which will be High Five netball on 25th October. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Some pupils from Class 3 took part in a football competition at Boroughbridge High School yesterday and did amazing. Well done Class 3! &nbsp;</p>

<p>Congratulations to our Reception children and their Year 6 buddies for a wonderful first meeting today. Our Year 6 children were just wonderful with our very young Reception children and helped them to play games and read their favourite books.  We look forward to many more happy buddy moments throughout the year!</p>

<p>Class 2 children enjoyed visiting an ancient site where Romans used to live….on our doorstep!  The Class 2 children went to Aldbrough today and put their learning to use as they saw the site where there was once a Roman village, they enyoyed making mosaics, looking at artifacts and exploring the ruins.</p>
