February's Olympic challenge!

February's Olympic challenge - Haiku poem

Can you create a Haiku poem about the Olympics, that is linked to our country of China?

Haiku poems are of Japanese origin.

A haiku poem only has 3 lines. One the first line, there should be 5 syllables, on the second line, there should be 7 syllables, and on the last line there should be 5 syllables. That's it!

                                                     Here is an example:

                                                    We stand still to watch
                                                    Victory, passion, heartbreak
                                                    In arms, side by side.

Here are some helpful links that might help you with poetry.

When you have written your haiku poem please send it to class4@gfschools.co.uk and I will put them altogether. You have until the 25th February to send them to me.

I look forward to reading them. smiley
