Forest School

Class 4 investigated forces outdoors. Some children lashed sticks to make chariots. They had to pull the chariot to make it move and the children noticed that the ground caused friction which slowed them down. The closer the standing bar was to the ground, the easier it was to lift the load. 

Some children explored forces using loose parts to make seesaws and leavers. They investigated what happened to the load when the fulcrum was moved closer or further away from the load.
