Remote Learning Week beginning 9.11.20
08 Nov 2020
Welcome to the remote learning for this week.
English:
In school we are reading more of our class novel "Wild Way Home." We discovered last week that Charlie has a baby brother who was born the evening before Charlies Birthday! However when Charlie is visiting his Mum and baby brother in hospital the family are given some bad news about their new additon. Destraught Charlie runs away from the hospital before finding out really what is happening and finds himself in Mandal woods, scared and upset.
The story is about to take a dramatic shift ... what do you predict that might be? Use all your clues from the book cover and from what we have already read to think about the next events.
In our reading session we are describing the meaning of words depending on their context. So have a go at this activity to practise this very important skill.
Elsewhere please keep reading and quizzing!

Forest School
The children at school will be having their Forest school session today, Monday, so if you are able to safely get outside in the garden this afternoon try and create a leaf and twig shelter for a lego man to stay safe and dry inside!
If you can persuade a parent to have a little fire that would be a good bonus too!
