Advent begins in Class 3

30 Nov 2021

It has been busy but brilliant this week as the class have used their great learning behaviours to make the most of their learning opportunities. Starting with a day of homelearning, followed by a Hulabaloo, then advent celebrations and electrifying theme work!

Tuesday's Hulabaloo was a brilliant experience! Many thanks to Little Ripon Book Shop for arranging it. Alex gave us a real insight into how he created his books and it was really interesting to hear how he is always looking for ideas and adventures! He told us that he also had some new characters buzzing around his brain so we can't wait to see who he creates next.

We also found out more about Mr Penguin - a penguin, Colin - a spider with a monobrow and many of them other characters he has imagined. We even had chance to illustrate our own Mr Penguins! Take a look through the childrens pictures below.

Remember the book shop has these books on sale,  so please take a look !

Times Tables is a weekly part of home work because the rapid recall of all times tables to the 12s is essential for accessing our curriculum and most importantly a really useful life skill! If accessing the website is an issue, please let us know and we can give the children some time at a playtime or lunchtime to have a go. TT is very tablet friendly so there is no need to use a laptop or computer.

Spreading some Christmas cheer

The charity committee have asked all the children across school to make Christmas cards this week, which they will then be sending out to care homes within our local community. As well as making some beautiful cards, Class three have also written some letters to go inside. The children were very passionate about wanting to send out some love to those who maybe alone at Christmas time and have worked hard to write some really lovely letters!  Their lovely decorations and kind words are guaranteed to bring festive cheer!

Have a wonderful weekend - a busy festive couple of weeks coming up. Please keep looking on the website for dates and details!
