Class 3- Children In Need- 13th November

12 Nov 2020

This week alongside all of our usual lessons we have taken time to remember and think about others.

On Remembrance Day we participated in a Collective Worship where we thought about those who had fought/ are fighting in wars. We joined in with the national silence at 11 o'clock.

On Friday we all dressed in non-uniform for Children In Need day.

Although we marked this day in a different way to usual we still enjoyed different activities throughout the day.

We drew our own Pudsey Bears, made masks or coloured Pudsey by number.

In Maths we completed some code breaker challenges.

Then in PE we joined in with Joe Wicks' 24 hour challenge. We only joined in for 20 minutes, but we were very tired, Joe had been doing it for 24 hours. Afterwards we thought about how he must be feeling to complete such a challenge. We said he would be feeling happy, tired, sweaty and pleased. Lots of us thought he would be ready to collapse and take a well earned break. Someone suggested he should be very proud of himself. We talked about how he might he might feel grateful to all those who had sponsored him and he might feel sad that the challenge is over.

Max Drury said that Joe Wicks reminded him of Marcus Rashford. We talked about who he was and what he had done. We decided that both Joe and Marcus really demonstrated 'Compassion' our value for this half term.

Don't forget you can watch Children In Need tonight on BBC1.

Have a good weekend!
