Welcome to the Fountains Family

Where Curiosity and Creativity, Spirituality and Excitement, Reflection and Responsibility are the Foundations of Learning.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide a rich and varied learning community where all children reach their potential.

Recognising its historic foundation, the school aims to serve its community by providing education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers all pupils.

Our Core Values

Resourceful – where children's curiosity and creativity can develop through questioning, imagining and making links.

Reflective – where children can plan, review and revise their learning and where their sense of spirituality allows them to develop an understanding of interdependence with the greater humanity and the natural world.

Resilient – where children can develop a sense of responsibility for their own learning and behaviour through perseverance, focus and an understanding of the consequences of their actions.

Relationships – where children can develop empathy and mutual respect, the ability to listen, to collaborate and communicate.

Risk taking – where children feel secure to experiment with new ideas and feel excited by challenge.

Our Objectives

Our core values underpin all we do at Fountains. To deliver our vision we have five objectives based on the ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes:

Enjoy and Achieve – by having high aspirations within the learning community and a rich and varied curriculum that inspires our learners and prepares them for the future.

Make a positive contribution – by valuing pupil voice to enable all children to articulate their opinions and feelings and become active citizens, locally and globally.

Achieve economic well being – by providing our children with skills for life long learning, using modern technology in a variety of contexts, and enabling them to apply their learning to real life experiences.

Stay safe – by providing a safe and secure environment where children feel valued and confident and where high standards of behaviour are expected and maintained.

Be healthy – by providing access to physical activities and an awareness of developing healthy lifestyles.
